A replica (i.e. reproduction) colored Nautical Chart of Boston Harbor by George W. Eldridge originally published in 1901. This map is orginally from the atlas “Geo. W. Eldrige’s Harbor-Chart Book, New York to Boston”. Eldridge’s charts are renowned for bold lines and a clear, concise aesthetic. Subtle blue tones have been added to the depths and shallows to enhance the readability and visual appeal of the original monochromatic chart. The original maps measure 20″ x 15″.
This map has been scanned from the original antique at 600 dpi using state of the art equipment. The replica map is printed on heavy matte fine art paper using archival pigment inks. A high resolution watermarked version of this file for research or closer inspection can be downloaded below:

Many reproduction maps for sale on the internet are taken directly from public domain sources (NY Public Library, Library of Congress, etc).
