ROANOAKE MARSHES LIGHTHOUSE, North Carolina - Drawing and Plan of the Lighthouse as it was in 1877. Roanoke Marshes Light was a screw-pile lighthouse in North Carolina. A screw-pile lighthouse is a lighthouse which stands on piles that are screwed into sandy or muddy sea or river bottoms.
In 2004, a replica of the light was dedicated at the Roanoke Island Maritime Museum in Manteo, North Carolina.
