A modern reprint of an antique photograph of Fire Island Lighthouse, at the mouth of the Fire Island Inlet connecting the Great South Bay of southern Long Island and the Atlantic Ocean. Although the exact date on which photograph was originally taken is unknown, it's safe to assume it was taken between 1858 and 1892. On 1858, construction on the second incarnation of the Fire Island Lighthouse tower was completed. In 1892 the tower was painted with black and white stripes. The original photo is sepia toned in color and badly faded with age. This version has been printed in a blueprint/cyanotype hue and embellished with subtle typography (title in the bottom margin) and a thin decorative border.

Custom sizes are available. If you are interested in a custom size, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request!

This image is printed on heavy matte fine art paper with archival inks. Framing is available.
